Today was a first for me and Tony.
Today, we tried a macaroon for the first time 🙂
They really do live up to the hype, especially when it’s flavored salted caramel – a key to my heart.
March 6th has always been a date that is special to me.
March 6th is the date Tony and I started dating in high school.
We are now on year #14.
Technically it’s a made up date. We started dating in March of 2003, I was a sophomore and Tony was a junior. And technically, when I say we started dating, I mean we started talking on the phone every night and accompanying each other to friends houses, ha! We didn’t really have an actual first date ‘day’, so we had picked March 6th because #6 was Tony’s football number, [yep, we really were typical highschoolers, I guess].
March 6th reminds me of two young kids, who joked that marriage would never work because the only thing we had in common was our love for Lemon-Lime Gatorade. It reminds me of how I felt when I first fell in love. March 6th reminds me to just laugh & flirt. It reminds me of simplicity, when I start to feel overwhelmed with adulthood & everything else that comes with it. March 6th makes me teary eyed, because time really does move so fast.
March 6th is a soft spot of gooey, mushy, love in my heart.
Off I go to help wipe grout – tiling our entryway, laundry, and bathroom & can’t wait to show if off!!
xo my macaroons 🙂
